V&A senior designer and curator Brendan Cormier, principal architect and founder of his own studio Niccolo Casas and Parley for the Oceans editorial director Thomas Gorton continue the ongoing conversation about how design can solve the problem of plastic in the ocean. While many designers are already helping to clean ecosystems by using marine plastic as a design material, this talk also addresses how design can contribute to the development of new plastic harvesting systems. Casas will speak on his own approach to the problem, explaining how digital production techniques can adapt to new material realties.

This talk will take place in person from 14:20 to 15:10 on 23 September at V&A, Cromwell Road, Hochhauser Auditorium, London, SW7 2RL. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought on Eventbrite.
